.
Adam’s science background, twenty year career in information technology (IT) and a passion for triathlon is the perfect combination for performance analysis.   Adam has the ability to take complicated concepts, apply technology and common sense to simplify and visualize the data. You and your coach can apply this information to maximise your performance.

Adam’s skills have been utilized in the following areas:

  • Involved in NSW triathlon coach education, including writing the “Cycling” and “Planning and Preparation” modules for the current L1 course.
  • Coaching elite athletes for the past 4 years.
  • Assistant coach for the NSW U23 development squad in 2006/7.
  • A Head coach at the 2007 Triathlon Junior Development (JDP) camp.
  • “Technical Performance Analyst” for the NSWIS Emerging Athlete Program (EAP) in 2007/8.
  • Competing at the elite level in triathlon from 1996-1999. In recent times Adam has won a number of state and national titles as a “veteran” triathlete.

A number of tests are available with the most popular being the MAX or step test. This test involves cycling at incrementally harder power levels until exhaustion. At the conclusion of the test your maximum power and HR along with lactate thresholds are used to calculate your optimal training zones.
