Berkel Wins, Reedy 3rd, Sym 6th, Armstrong wins 30-34 @ Busselton Half Ironman
Tim got the better of Matty White and Reedy over the back of the run, looking good for Berkel at Challenge Cairns as this is his 2nd half Ironman in a week after finishing 2nd at Port Maq 70.3 last weekend, impressive thing is that Berkel ran a 1:13 on tired legs -4 weeks to go and he is going to very hard to knock over at Cairns. Reedy ended up 3rd and is coming up hard after his layoff from training, Reed also raced Port 70.3 last weekend with a 5th place and is steadily improving on the run up to his US seaon.
Christie Sym had extreme problems during her race with her stomach and is now looking at more natural food options for her races. Christie being the toughy that she is didn't pull out and still managed 6th place, look out for her as she is starting to hit very good form and this race was no indication of where she is at.
Hayden Armstrong also had a tough time with food poisoning before the race, but he was still good enough for the win in the 30-34 cat in his weakend state. Good job all.
