Joey Lampre wins Byron Bay Triathlon
Joey hammered the swim and was never seen again as he demolished the bike and then to a few peoples suprise the run as well. Joey sounded a warning shot the week before at Port Maq 70.3 finishing 6th overall in a great feild. At only just turned 22 Joey is coming along really well. He races Carins half Ironman next and then Yepoon beofr heading to the US for some racing.
Joey wasn't alone with Paige Single putting in a solid run for 5th place overall in the womens race. Brad Clark won the 16-19 years male, Jugganaught (Damion Davis) finished 2nd in the 40-44, Janelle Ware 3rd 40-44. Great races and huge pbs also from Alvin Caoyonan, Nicole Page, Georgia Rhodes and a host of local non Aeromax athletes. Well done to all.
